Length 7-9 feet; Width 19-20 inches; Thickness 2-3 inches. It is made of wood wrapped with foam, also called teaching board and soft board (other boards are hard boards). This board is very wide, thick, and has great buoyancy, allowing beginners to achieve the maximum stability in the same size board in the water, making it easy to catch waves and not easily hit themselves.

There are several types of surfboards

1. Foam board
2. Long plate
The length is 8-10 feet and 6 feet, usually a single rope. The length of the long board provides great stability and displacement (buoyancy). Compared to the short board, the long board is much easier to paddle and is very suitable for beginners to practice catching waves. But it's not that only beginners play long boards. The advanced gameplay of long boards is different from short boards. It can practice movements such as walking on the board and turning 360 degrees, which is not the same fun as short boards. There are also very narrow and thin small buoyancy long boards used in competitions.
3. Middle plate
The length is 6 feet 5 to 8 feet 5, usually with three tail fins. Just like the name, FUNBOARD is a board that allows beginners and intermediate ronins to experience more fun. The middle board is between the long board and the short board, which combines stability and flexibility. It is more difficult to catch waves while paddling compared to the long board, but it is more flexible after diving. It is very suitable for students who have played the long board for a period of time to transition and adapt to the gameplay of the short board.
4. Short board
5-7 feet in length, with three tail fins. A shorter length means a reduction in buoyancy and difficulty in catching waves, resulting in faster activation and adjustment of the short board, allowing for diving. After diving into the waves, it can be very flexible in spinning, turning, splashing, and even flying 360 degrees on the wave wall. The basic skills required for paddling are very solid, and the surfer already has deep surfing experience.
5. Fish plate
It can also be considered a type of short board, because the tail is a slit shaped fish tail, so it is called a fish board. Shorter and fatter than many short boards, but the slit end of the board increases flexibility compared to the end of a regular short board. In terms of the difficulty of catching waves and the flexibility of diving, it is more moderate compared to ordinary short boards. Suitable for medium to small wave conditions.
6. Gun plate
The board is narrow and pointed, while retaining the performance of the short board, increasing its length and buoyancy. Suitable for experienced ronins who specialize in big waves. Gunboard allows them to have faster paddling speed and chase waves in large waves, ensuring flexibility while also possessing sufficient stability to navigate large waves.
